Nature Reserve “Montagna di Torricchio”: an oasis for pollinators

The “Montagna di Torricchio” Nature Reserve is located in the Marche region and is a pilot area of the Life BEEadapt project managed by the University of Camerino. This area is characterized by natural and rural mountainous areas and has restricted access to protect the wide variety of biodiversity within it as much as possible.

The project’s expected results include: the restoration of 60 hectares of meadows, using mowing or delayed grazing; the creation of 5,000 square meters of new green infrastructure; the installation of 10 pollinator shelters; and the involvement of four local farms.
