LIFE BEEadapt arrives in the Pollino National Park

After a long period of preparation and testing in the local area, LIFE BEEadapt is ready to bring its results, tools, and best practices beyond the pilot areas.

The first meeting will be at Pollino National Park on March 25th, when, in collaboration with the Park, the partners currently leading these activities will present our project to interested local people.

The goal of this and subsequent initiatives throughout Italy is not simply to present the project, but to truly adapt it to local needs. The final part of the meeting will be a participatory session promoting discussion with local residents. The following topics will be addressed:

  • Perceptions and needs of the local area
  • Priorities and opportunities for those living in the Pollino National Park
  • Expression of willingness to develop local initiatives

The results of the discussion will be collected by LIFE BEEadapt, which will develop an initial proposal for a local agenda, which will then be shared and made available to the Park and its local stakeholders. Thanks to this tool, which can be shared and adopted as a success in the project’s pilot areas, wild pollinators will be further protected in this region too!

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th at 10:00 a.m. in Campotenese (CS), at CATASTA – Pollino Tourism and Culture Hub.
